Abstract

The study provides a comprehensive analysis of associations and their socio-economic relevance in the EU and highlights legal and administrative barriers that associations face when conducting or wishing to conduct cross-border activities within the Single Market. The study aimed at identifying possible policy options in the form of both legislative and nonlegislative actions and providing data and information to assess their impact, and their capacity to solve the identified problems in line with the Better Regulation Guidelines.
