Abstract

Online learning is emerging in many Arab countries as an important and practicable educational tool contributing towards talent development of (young) Arab generations. Due to disruptive technological innovations, many facets of education in the Arab world will change including a truly interconnected and virtual classroom, where e-learners around the globe will meet. In this paper we will highlight some dynamics in the Arab e-classroom, where actual and online social networks meet. For teachers to understand these dynamics, servant-leadership with empathy across cultures is key.
