Abstract
Since August 2023, very large online platforms need to comply with the Digital Services Act (‘DSA’). The European Commission has the power to supervise and enforce the DSA against these platforms and is currently very visibly, through open letters and tweets by Commissioner Thierry Breton, taking up this task. This blogpost gives an overview of the developments and sets out in broad lines what might be next. The blog concludes with a short reflection on enforcement by the Commission of the big platform’s content moderation obligations.
