Abstract
Thin film technology is a powerful exploratory technique in the search for advanced hydrogen-storage systems. Thin films of metal hydrides allow one to perform high-throughput screening of large materials libraries, discover new metastable phases inaccessible by bulk preparation methods, and model the finite-size effects occurring at the nanoscale.
