Abstract
This paper describes the estimation of heritability, the genetic analysis of comorbid traits based on twin designs and on indices based on measured genetic relatedness. Next, approaches to identify genes and to examine the modification of heritability are described. The paper concludes with a discussion on the continued value of twin studies. © 2013 Informa UK Ltd.
