Abstract
“Understanding Statelessness and Resilience in Assam, India” tries to understand statelessness through the lived experience of people affected and how they build resilience and agency. This PhD project involved several sub-projects to answer specific questions like how to understand the mechanisms of statelessness, role of gender in the statelessness processes and mechanisms, how to understand the actions of people involved in the implementation of statelessness mechanisms, and how to understand resilience and agency through the actions of community workers and poets.
