Abstract
This article introduces a thematic issue of Theologia Reformata on 'theosis', a much-discussed topic in contemporary biblical and systematic theology. It features contributions by Foka van de Beek, Suzan Sierksma, Arnold Huijgen, Wolter Huttinga and Willem van Vlastuin on the meaning(s) and relevance of the notions of theosis and partipation. The writers adopt various perspectives, not only in terms of their disciplines but also having various stance svis-à-vis theosis, but at the end of the day the differences don't seem unbridgeable.
