Abstract

The collaboration between psychologists and dental health care professionals has a long history. Still, many dentists wonder how to make use of psychologists in the dental practice. This chapter will elaborate on how psychologists can contribute to the treatment of patient with dental fear, showing examples from Norway, Sweden, England and the Netherlands. The chapter will also emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary partnership in dental care.
