I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. My research focus on topics related to environmental economics. I am also finalising a double PhD in which I specialise in economics at the University of Cape Town and in environmental science at the University of Groningen. My PhD research focus is on the Water-Energy-Food nexus and sustainable development in South Africa. I see the world differently to most people. Maintaining a bias for hope, I believe in dedicating my work to solving pressing problems of sustainable development. I ultimately aspire to contribute significantly towards improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable, while promoting a more equal, sustainable and peaceful society.
